(CBS) Those of us who can't make Bonnaroo this year can do the next best thing: Make lists of the artists we want to see and try not to be jealous of friends braving I-24 on their way to Manchester, Tenn., to see said artists and maybe others we forgot.

The gates to the festival open at 7 p.m. Wednesday and the music begins Thursday. Don't miss the following acts if you can help it.

Thursday

School of Seven Bells, 7:00 p.m. - The ambient trio has released a couple of the best records in music in the past three years. Benjamin Curtis and twin sisters Alejandra and Claudia Deheza make big sounds with guitars and electronics.

Henry Rollins, Tig Notaro and Nate Bargatze, 10:00 p.m. - Who knows what to expect here except that it's not a music show. Self-described "aging alternative icon" Rollins is good for a laugh. He's been performing spoken word shows - essentially stand-up comedy - for years. And you may know Notaro (Google "Notaro no moleste") from "Last Comic Standing."

Band of Skulls, 8:30 p.m. - Bluesy garage rock with a fat low-end from a band that sounds like it spent a lot of time in the garage honing skills.

Deerhunter, 11:30 p.m. - They call themselves - or have called themselves - ambient punk. With some straight-up rock tunes, pop tunes and ambient overtones, they're hard to categorize. But they're good.

Friday

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, 2:00 p.m. - You owe it to yourself to see Future Man live once in your life. This is the original line-up of the Flecktones.

Kylesa, 1:45 p.m. - Sludge rock. Meaty riffs. Two drummers. You will not be disappointed.

The Sword, 3:00 p.m. - Like Kylesa with one less drummer and all dudes. This band tunes its guitar way low and the riffs are heavy.

Arcade Fire, 11:00 p.m. - It's hard to believe so many people make such little music, but Arcade Fire is the flavor of the month. Now you can say you've seen them.

Lil Wayne, 1:00 a.m. - Technically this is Saturday morning, but don't let that confuse you. Will this be "Rebirth" Lil Wayne or "I Am Not a Human Being" Lil Wayne? Either way, 더나인카지노 he'll probably be performing material from his new record, "Tha Carter IV," which is scheduled for an Aug. 29 release.

Saturday

Deer Tick, 3:15 p.m. - John McCauley sounds like he's been pounding beers and cranking butts all night every time he sings. Check it out for yourself. Enjoy the guitars and southern flavor (even though the band is from Providence).

Bootsy Collins & the Funk Universe, 7:00 p.m. - Bootsy Collins is so funky he made Keith Richards funky once (listen to "Big Enough" on Richards' "Talk is Cheap"). Watch the legendary funk bassist bust out the P-Funk and his own tunes, too.

Buffalo Springfield, 9:30 p.m. - Three-fifths of Buffalo Springfield - Stephen Stills, Richie Furay and Neil Young - is alive and the band is playing a short tour for the first time in 43 years. Rick Rosas is on bass and Joe Vitale fills in on drums for Bruce Palmer and Dewey Martin.

Eminem, 11:00 p.m. - The MC is back to form with "Recovery." Don't miss him.

Dr. John with the Original Meters and Allen Toussaint, 12:30 a.m. - Bonnaroo got its name from Dr. John's "Desitively Bonnaroo" album. And if the guy who inspired the festival's name is playing, you should go, right?

Sunday

G. Love & Special Sauce, 12:30 p.m. - These guys are still together? Enjoy their sloppy blues while you nurse your Saturday hangover.

Mavis Staples, 1:15 p.m. - It's Sunday, a perfect time to see the gospel singer live. Her latest album, "You Are Not Alone," came out in 2010. Expect some songs from this record along with some classics.

Robert Plant & Band of Joy, 6:00 p.m. - The legendary frontman released the "Band of Joy" album last year (named for his pre-Zeppelin band) and the blues and country-tinged record placed on several best-of lists at year's end. Check out Plant doing what he does best: Leading a band, crooning and belting.
